Gemco The Whistler Vintage Glass Kettle

The Gemco The Whistler is a whistling glass kettle model produced in the USA in the late 1970s and early 1980s. With its heat-resistant transparent glass body, black handle, and whistling lid mechanism, it is one of the characteristic kitchen designs of that period.

Condition: Used vintage item; in working condition. Its current condition is shown in the photographs.

Usage note: The 8-cup plastic-collared version of this model family was subject to a 1984 CPSC safety notice regarding the risk of the handle connection loosening at high heat. Low or medium heat should be preferred during use; the kettle should be centered on the burner, and it should not be used if deformation is observed in the handle connection.
